MUNICIPAL UNIT OF ARISTOMENOS of the Municipality of Messina

A modern and welcoming meeting place for the local community. In the settlement of Strefio in the Municipality of Messina, KPM implemented the construction of a new square from scratch, creating a functional, sustainable and clean environment. Based on the design of ENERSIS IKE, the project was completed in close cooperation with the Municipality of Messina, constituting a comprehensive intervention that organizes the common space with clean geometries and absolute functionality.

The project began with extensive soil sanitization and shaping infrastructure, including earthmoving, removal, excavation, embankment and the construction of drainage networks with wells. The basis of the implementation was carried out with new paving bases, asphalt, stable concretes and modern coatings and coatings that ensure durability. The bioclimatic reinforcement of the space was achieved through the installation of new plant material and an automatic irrigation system, while the equipment of the square was completed with the supply of modern urban equipment. At the same time, the new electrical network and the installed lighting equipment highlight the architectural engravings during the evening hours. A project with a clear purpose, future-oriented, that upgrades the daily experience of the community.
